Emirates Plane Catch Fire After Crash-landing At Dubai International Airport (photo)

A plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Dubai, officials say.

The Emirates flight, which was en route to Dubai from Thiruvananthapuram in India, began to have problems just after midday local time.

It ‘belly-landed’ at Dubai International Airport without landing gears and caught fire, witnesses say.

All passengers have been escorted to safety and the area has been cordoned off.

Footage taken from the scene shows smoke pluming out of the aircraft.

The exact cause of the accident is still unclear.

Emirates confirmed the incident but gave no further details.
